For any system tray to work in windows 7, you have to set it run as administrator. This can be done by choosing the Properties menu, by right-mouse clicking the file. Next go to the tab labelled 'Compatibility'.Then under the area labelled 'Privelege Level', check the box 'run as administrator'. See Image below.
